Avoid Puffiness, Avoid Wrinkles

One of the main causes of fine wrinkles around the eyes is eye puffiness. When we suffer from puffiness of the eyes, the skin expands because of the excess fluid in the soft tissues around the eyes, so if you wish to avoid wrinkles, one of the best ways is to avoid puffiness. Here are 4 simple tips you can follow to avoid these beauty hazards:

  1. No more midnight drinking

I’m not referring to just alcohol here people, this includes all liquids like water. Drinking in general is actually healthy, we all know this, but during sleep, the body is at a relaxed state. The liquids taken in before the sleeping mode are retained in the body, and the swelling occurs causing puffiness.

  1. Sleep on your back

Gravity is powerful, and the constant pull, thought very gradual, produces effects on our skin. Lying face down allows gravity to pull on the facial vessels causing the eye puffiness. Sleeping on your back though, helps alleviate the problem.

  1. Less salt

Salt does not only come when we choose to pick up salt shakers. We also have to be careful with processed food, usually high in salt. Sodium chloride, popularly known as salt, retains water in our body, and as we have mentioned, retained water causes the puffy eyes.

  1. Use teabags

Teabags may probably be the most useful popular tip against puffy eyes. Tea acts as an astringent for our face, as well as tightens it because of the caffeine which helps drain the fluids. Just steep the teabags, place them in the fridge for half an hour before placing them on your closed eyes!
